Edwin Siu and Priscilla Wong announce marriage at TVB Anniversary Awards

17 Dec – TVB actor Edwin Siu and Priscilla Wong stole the night at the TVB Anniversary Awards by revealing that they have actually tied the knot a few months ago!

As reported on On CC, the news was announced by Edwin during his acceptance speech upon winning Most Popular Partnership alongside Raymond Cho for their show "Two Men in a Kitchen" by calling Priscilla his "wife".

"I was thinking all night long all the romantic things to say to my wife. [...] you made me learn how to take care of others better, and for me to be a man. [This announcement] is a big commitment because I'm saying it in front of the entire Hong Kong," he said, as the audiences gave them a standing ovation.

He then gave his wife a sweet kiss and received a thunderous applause from fans and friends alike.

Speaking about the marriage after the ceremony, Edwin said that the two of them tied the knot while they were on vacation in April.

The actor revealed that he attempted to propose to Priscilla on Europe's fastest roller coaster, but the actress didn't open her eyes to see the ring as she was too scared to look.

"I was afraid the ring would fall, so I decided to forgo the proposal. The first attempt failed," he said.

As for his second proposal, Edwin said that he would keep it to himself, adding that Priscilla is shy about it.

As to why they kept it a secret, Edwin stated that they have been trying to announce the good news, but that there were too many marriage announcements made at the same time.

"First it was Kevin Cheng, then Ruco announced his marriage. Grace Chan got pregnant soon after, so I never had the chance to talk. I realised today is the perfect day to do it," he said.

When asked if they will be holding a banquet, Edwin said that they will think about it, but stressed that they prefer to keep it low profile.
