Elderly man sings parody of defects in Singapore condo

An elderly man, unhappy with the condition of his condominium in Singapore, has come up with a music video parody to highlight the flaws and defects in buildings in the city state. The lyrics start with “See the buildings crumbling down”, sung to the tune of popular nursery rhyme “London Bridge is Falling Down”. The music video on YouTube, which lasts over a minute, has garnered over 70,000 views since it was uploaded on June 25. In it, the unidentified man is seen singing the parody, with articles on building defects in the media making intermittent appearances. It also features “back up” singers who sing the chorus of “look what happened in Mumbai, in Mumbai, in Mumbai”, alluding to the building collapse in Thane near Mumbai two years ago that left scores dead, including children. At one juncture, the man is seen shielding his head when he sings a part about “falling roofs and leaking pipes”. – July 1, 2015.
