Elizabeth Olsen addresses MCU return as Scarlet Witch
Elizabeth Olsen has addressed the possibility of returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Scarlet Witch.
The actor last appeared as the character in 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – though there has been no indication of a return since then, notably after her fate was left ambiguous.
Speaking in a new interview with FM104 about whether she would go back, Olsen said: “It’s a character that I love going back to when there’s a way to use her well, and I think I have been lucky that when I started I was used well within Age of Ultron."

“I think people didn’t know what to do with me for a second there, and then they were able to utilise the character well in interesting ways of telling stories in ways they hadn’t yet,” she continued.
“And so if there’s a good way to use her I’m always happy to come back, whether they can make that make sense.”
If she did return, Olsen said last year that she would like her character to have “a lot more humour” than before.

"We can do anything with her now!" she told ScreenRant. "I feel like we've done so much. Now, we can really have fun. I feel like there's a lot more humor to be had with her.
“She's often the emotion of a story, and I'm curious to see what we can explore. And hopefully [we can] give her some redemption."
The actor also previously revealed that she would be up for returning in new WandaVision spin-off Agatha All Along, which is due to premiere later this month.
However, a recent trailer seemed to suggest that Wanda had died – though whether this was a confirmation or not remains to be seen.
Agatha All Along premieres its first two episodes on Wednesday, September 18 on Disney+, with new episodes following weekly.
