Ellen DeGeneres celebrates 20 years with Portia de Rossi, addresses UK home flooding rumors
Ellen DeGeneres is honoring the beginnings of a "beautiful adventure" alongside wife Portia de Rossi.
The comedian penned a heartfelt tribute to the former actress in an Instagram post on Sunday. "20 years ago today we began this relationship not realizing what a long beautiful adventure this would be," DeGeneres captioned a selfie of the two. "You are the best thing that ever happened in my life. You take care of me. You help me see the good in everything."
"You help to guide me and pick me up when I feel off or down," she went on. "You are a beautiful soul that I am so very grateful to have as a partner to navigate this crazy life with."

Their love story dates back to 2001 when the two met backstage at a concert. Once same-sex marriage became legal in California in 2008, the two tied the knot at their home in Beverly Hills on Aug. 16 in an intimate ceremony of only 15 guests.
DeGeneres concluded: "My wife. My best friend. The love of my life. Thank you for being you and loving me. So happy we get to travel and explore the world together in the next 20 years, and looking forward to our first snowy Christmas."

Last February, nearly 15 years after they said "I do," de Rossi surprised DeGeneres with a vow renewal at home in front of their family and friends.
During a party intended to celebrate de Rossi's 50th birthday, the actress left the former talk show host speechless after stepping out in the original ivory gown she wore for their wedding in 2008.

Nowadays, the two have reportedly relocated to the U.K. People magazine reported on Nov. 21 that they relocated to the English countryside.
On Sunday, DeGeneres addressed recent rumors that her home abroad had flooded due to weather conditions. "P.S. for those of you concerned, our UK farmhouse did NOT flood," she concluded her caption.
USA TODAY was unable to reach reps for DeGeneres and de Rossi in regards to their move and home reportedly flooding.
