When it comes to supermodels, we tend to think of high fashion and couture clothing, but that’s not always the case — many of them love a good old-fashioned department store brand just like the rest of us.

Emily Ratajkowski recently proved this point when she stepped out in New York City this week. The 29-year-old was seen rocking a pair of crisp white sneakers from none other than Canadian footwear brand Aldo.

While strolling with her two-month-old son Sylvester Apollo Bear, Ratajkowski was spotted in a pair of the $90 CAD/$85 USD Esclub Sneakers.

The chunky-soled sneakers feature a retro-inspired design that mixes vegan leather uppers with translucent panels for a thoroughly modern feel.

They’re also designed to be ultra-lightweight and super comfortable, making them an ideal choice for pounding the pavement. Their cloud-like sole is engineered with a high density footbed, lending extra bounce to every step.

Ratajkowski has been outspoken about in the past about her decision to allow her child to grow into their own personality, free from gendered stereotypes.

"I like the idea of forcing as few gender stereotypes on my child as possible," she penned in an essay for Vogue. "I want to be a parent who allows my child to show themself to me."
