If you're anything like us, you have probably spent more time in your leggings over the past four months than ever before in your life. But, as lockdown eases, the pubs and restaurants open and everyday life starts to return to some level of normal, you may be dreading getting out of your comfortable clothes. Well, don't – instead, look to Emily Ratajkowski for inspiration, someone who has been nailing the post-lockdown summer wardrobe with her take on low-key, comfortable style.

The model and actress has been seen running errands around New York City several times over the past couple of weeks – and, in the process, has been documenting exactly how to ease oneself back into dressing up.

Ratajkowski's post-lockdown looks have consisted of floaty summer dresses teamed with white lace-up trainers, colourful printed shirts and sun hats, cycling shorts with oversized T-shirts and easy-to-wear denim mini skirts.

While still chic and stylish, the ensembles are a far cry from some of the more high-octane red-carpet glamour we often see from her – and are perhaps the perfect example of how to slowly head back into your old wardrobe. Take her cue and ease yourself back into dressing as you once did with comfortable, fun and flattering styles, a step away from athleisure, but not quite back into your heels.
