Emily Ratajkowski has become one of the more prominent celebrity faces of 2020, after spending the year challenging the patriarchy, bravely sharing her stories of her exploitation as a model, and fighting for the right to protect her own image after being sued for posting an Instagram grid shot of her own face.

The 29-year-old is now pregnant with her first child, and announced that she was expecting via social media, sharing powerful images of herself living her very best, empowered life - alongside a video directed by friend Lena Dunham.

It's an absolute side-note to all the incredible things she's accomplished, of course, but she's also demonstrated continued excellent judgement when it comes to hair choices.

While Ratajkowski tends to stick to darker shades of brown (except, of course, for that short-lived foray into platinum blonde), it seems she has now followed in the footsteps of Ashley Benson, opting for the most luxurious shade of auburn and becoming the next celebrity to opt for a cosy, autumnal hair colour.

On that note, it's also a brilliant transitional shade if you're looking to slowly move from dark brown hair to lighter blonde, as this warm, auburn hue is the natural colour your hair can safely lift to on the way to platinum (worth bearing in mind if you're thinking of opting for peroxide when the sun comes back out in 2021). Whether that's Ratajkowski's intention, or she's simply feeling the autumnal aesthetic, consider us inspired.
