Remember when one of Taylor Swift's longtime besties, Emma Stone, co-starred in The Favourite with her ex Joe Alwyn in ye olden days of 2018? Well, Emma Emily (more on that here) and Joe are co-starring in another movie, Kinds of Kindness, and she gave a rare comment about the actor in a press release for their upcoming project.
"I love Joe," Emma said of the Conversations With Friends star. "We had to do some pretty dark stuff on this one, so it was extremely comforting to be with him because he's one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet."

The Favourite, Kinds of Kindness, and Emma's recent Oscar-winning flick, Poor Things, were directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, FYI. The Kinds of Kindness cast is also stacked with star power and Cosmo faves, like Hunter Schafer, Margaret Qualley, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Plemons, Hong Chau, and Mamoudou Athie. As for the plot? "It's three different stories and there's a core of seven actors, including Emma of course, who play one character in each story, so they all play three different characters," Lanthimos shared during the New York premiere of Poor Things in December 2023.
And, if it tickles your fancy, here's the official synopsis for the flick from the press release:
Kinds of Kindness is a triptych fable, following a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing at sea has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability, who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.
Kinds of Kindness hits theaters on June 21.
