Emmerdale's Chloe left reeling over Mackenzie confession

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Mackenzie Boyd has left Chloe Harris reeling after confessing all over his affair in Emmerdale.

Last week's episode left off with Mack promising Charity Dingle that he was finally ready to tell Chloe the truth about them.

In Monday's (November 20) episode, Charity was concerned that Mack would back out of his plan to tell Chloe it's over since he'd already flip-flopped on both women multiple times.

However, Mack was true to his word this time as he tried to break the news to Chloe, though she revealed she needed to run an urgent errand.

Charity was frustrated that Chloe was still in the dark, though Mack promised her he'd tell his fiancée once she got back.

"It made sense to wait, Charity," he insisted.

Charity snapped back: "Just don't bottle it, for all of our sakes!"

Mack soon returned home to find that Chloe had decorated the entire house for Christmas as a big surprise for him.

Unable to keep the truth from her any longer, Mack devastated Chloe by finally revealing that he wanted out of their engagement.

"I'm not spending Christmas with you. I can't spend any more time with you," he told a stunned Chloe.

When Chloe tried to convince Mack she was "doing better" after her recent collapse, he had to come clean that her health woes had nothing to do with his decision.

"You're splitting up with me," Chloe realised.

Once Chloe realised Mack had been sleeping with Charity, she threw him out of the house. Amy was soon by Chloe's side to comfort her through the heartache.

Mack retreated to Charity, where he was warned that Chloe would never be able to simply forgive and forget what he'd done.

Charity's prediction will turn out to be correct when, in upcoming scenes, Chloe plots her revenge against Mack.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
