Enrique Gil wants Liza Soberano to join Miss Universe
25 Jan - Forget Maxine Medina. Enrique Gil thinks his onscreen partner Liza Soberano has the best chance at winning Miss Universe - if she ever decides to participate, that is.
As reported on ABS-CBN News, the actor, who attended the Miss Universe National Gift Auction held at the Conrad Hotel recently, stated that he does support Philippine bet, Maxine Medina, although his full support would be for Soberano.
"She is going to be the next Miss Universe, I'm telling you right now," said Gil.
And if Soberano wants to join the pageant, Gil stated that he will definitely give her his support, as he reiterated about her having the qualities of a Miss Universe.
"She is going to win Miss Universe because she is the sweetest girl ever. No pretension. Whatever she says on the stage is what she really is," he added.
Previously, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach gave similar response about Soberano, saying that the actress has the natural beauty that is suitable for the pageant.
While both Wurtzbach and Gil were full of praises for her, Soberano had once shared that she would prefer not to be known and remembered just for her looks.
