Enugu Rangers have started plans to raise a formidable U-15 team ahead of the NPFL/Laliga Promises tournament scheduled to start in April 2017.
The 20 NPFL teams have been divided into four groups of five teams each to participate in the NPFL/LaLiga Promises tournament.
Gabreil Ezema, who is in charge of the Flying Antelopes junior teams, revealed that a formal training will start on February 17 at the Rangers training pitch at Liberty estate.
"We have been scouting for talented youngsters within the age range at different secondary schools in Enugu and a whole lot of amazing kids have been picked to start training as 22 players will make the final list," Ezema told Goal.
"We are looking at training thrice a week (Monday, Wednesday and Saturdays) at the Rangers training pitch at Liberty estate since school is still in session. We hope that this opportunity will excite and motivate these youngsters.
"It's our responsibility to give these kids an orientation of what they represent when they come in and understand what the club, Enugu Rangers stands for.
"This tournament is happening at a time the club just won the NPFL trophy and we have to make them feel team work and oneness the club stands for.
"We shall let them know the history of the club, the players and a lot more. Get them to see the players as their role model," he concluded.
