Episode Three of ‘The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition’ Sends Another Candidate Packing

The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition” returned on Thursday, 1 April, with Episode 3 on AXN.

Five-time ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee joined Task Captain Dom Lau to witness the remaining 14 candidates compete in a challenge that pushed their limits physically and mentally.

In the boardroom, ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong and his Advisor, Niharika Singh, sent one more candidate home.

Physical Challenge: Giant Puzzle Scavenger Hunt

Before the physical challenge began, a surprising twist saw Jessica and Kexin sent over to Team Conquest in exchange for Lara, who joined Team Valor.

Teams visited the Singapore Sports Hub in Kallang to partake in a scavenger hunt. Candidates had to follow a series of clues leading to seven giant puzzle pieces, which they then needed to assemble to win.

Additionally, one candidate from each side had to swim four laps in freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly, and backstroke, in a 10-lane competition pool.

Paulina, a trained triathlete, swam for Team Conquest, but she suffered an anxiety attack midway through. After catching her breath, she willed herself through the rest of the challenge. Louie, on the other hand, swam for Team Valor and ripped through the task.

It came down to the wire as both teams met at the National Stadium to earn their last puzzle piece. Despite falling behind early, Team Valor took home the victory behind impressive performances from Louie and Sho.

Business Challenge: Create a Digital Media Campaign

Candidates became content creators, tasked to craft a digital media campaign for investment firm Golden Equator. The challenge included producing a 90-second video to promote Golden Equator’s portfolio of services.

Kexin offered to step into a leadership role, despite being new to Team Conquest. But it was Paulina who the group selected as Project Manager. Meanwhile, Sho took the lead as Project Manager for Team Valor.

Jessica and Kexin proved to be reliable new additions to Team Conquest, as they meshed well with dynamic personalities and gave the team a clear sense of direction.

On Team Valor, Clinton was once again a distraction and continued to clash with Teirra. Making an executive decision, Sho decided to isolate Clinton from the team, effectively rendering him invalid.

The Pitches

Jessica and Paulina delivered the pitch for Team Conquest with confidence, presenting a video that Chatri thought was clean and well-prepared. Eugene complained about his input not being heard by the team.

On Team Valor, Louie and Irina presented their campaign with conviction, but the content overall lacked substance. The team also complained about Clinton disrupting their productivity while having contributed very little to their efforts.

Monica failed to produce an execution plan for the second episode in a row. Lara was criticized for her lack of professional skills and going to bed before everyone else.

The Boardroom: Another One Bites the Dust

Despite a difference of opinion between Eugene and Kexin, Team Conquest finally emerged victorious behind a strong video campaign and a solid rollout plan.

Team Valor was on the chopping block for the first time. Sho brought Clinton and Lara with him for elimination, but he was chastised for his decision to alienate a teammate and leave him feeling disempowered.

However, Lara’s lack of tangible professional skills proved to be her downfall, and she became the third candidate eliminated from the competition.
