Eric Tsang has no qualms working with TVB again

13 Dec – Eric Tsang has laughed off the notion of a rift between him and TVB, as he played the role of an emcee for the Tung Wah Charity Show, which recently aired on TVB.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor-producer, who spoke to the media at the event, dismissed the idea that the two parties have finally "broken the ice", saying that there was no 'ice' to begin with.

"The Tung Wah Charity Show is the programme that I want to do most every year. I watched the show growing up. Plus, the chairman [Vinci Wong] called me a few months ago and asked me to be the emcee. You have to support him," he said.

Eric also stated that he would love to return as emcee in the future, as he has a good relationship with both Tung Wah and the Miss Hong Kong pageant.

When asked if he will work with TVB again in, the actor stated that he has no qualms doing so, and that it will depend on the timing and the type of show they're offering.

Rumours of rift between Eric and TVB sparked earlier this year, when the actor decided to continue hosting the World Cup-related shows on ViuTV when TVB failed to secure the rights to the sports event.

He then reportedly angered the company's top management when he made fun of Miss Hong Kong pageant's plan to have its outdoor shooting in Sai Kung instead of its usual overseas location.

Both Eric and TVB have denied the rumours.
