KUANTAN: An estate worker was murdered by his colleague who felt that the meal cooked for him was not tasty, and prepared in an unhygienic manner.
Temerloh police chief Supt Zuhdin Mahmud said the victim, aged 59, was found lifeless and covered in blood, in front of his house at Ladang Estate Belenggu Hall, Mentakab, at 9.05am yesterday.
He said an investigation found that the victim had earlier quarrelled with the colleague, aged 35, over a meal he had prepared.
"(As the quarrel escalated), the suspect kicked and punched the victim, before attacking him with a parang and a stick. The victim suffered injuries all over his body," he told reporters.
Zuhdin said police picked up the suspect, who has a criminal record, at 11am yesterday. -- Bernama
