If you’re looking for a cool pair of sustainable sneakers to take you from day to night, Everlane’s new release might be right up your alley.
The popular retailer that’s favoured by Meghan Markle has always created quality items while being conscious of the environment — but their latest shoe is even more groundbreaking.
“The Court Sneaker—designed for every destination,” says the Everlane website. “This versatile leather sneaker is the lowest impact of its kind, which means it uses less waste, less energy, and less virgin plastic. Plus, we offset the emissions we couldn't eliminate.”
The sole of the $131 shoe is a blend of natural and recycled rubber that’s 94.2% free of virgin plastic while the lining is made from 100 per cent recycled polyester.
The Court Sneaker comes in women’s sizes 5-12, men’s sizes 7-13, as well as convenient half sizes. You can pick from seven chic colours including a solid colour block as well as a two-tone scheme.
