EWL hit by early morning train delay
Update 8.45am: Train services between Tanah Merah and Pasir Ris have resumed, SMRT tweeted. As such, free regular bus and free bridging bus services have ended.
SMRT said on Twitter before 6am on Thursday (28 September) that commuters were to expect 30 minutes extra travel time between Tanah Merah and Pasir Ris stations. The rail operator blamed a “track point fault” and pointed out that this was not linked to the new signalling project.

With the PSLE commencing on 28 September, the Ministry of Education announced on Facebook that affected exam candidates should inform their respective schools as soon as possible, and to attend their examination anyway before the end of the paper. They would be given the full duration of the paper, with no excuse letter required.
