Ex - Gor Mahia midfielder released in South Africa

The former K’Ogalo man has been suspended and will not be available for selection when Uganda host Ghana’s Blac Stars this weekend

South Africa's PSL side Baroka FC have terminated the contract of former Gor Mahia midfielder Khalid Aucho.

The player's future at the promoted side has been unclear after failing to live up to expectations and the club’s owner Khurishi Mphaplele has been quoted by kickoff website saying that Aucho and his counterpart Geoffrey Massa are now free agents.

“We have parted ways with those two players and it was a mutual separation. They now have their clearances and are free."

Aucho helped Gor Mahia to win three Kenyan Premier League titles in a row before ditching the side last season to join the South African outfit.

He also played for 11-times Kenyan champions Tusker where he was regarded as a key player. His next destination is currently unclear.
