Ex-Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters to release new solo record 'about love'

British musician Roger Waters

Roger Waters, co-founder of iconic British rock band Pink Floyd, has confirmed he is working on a new album with Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich.

Waters revealed he has spent the last year working on a new record, which will mark his first album release since his 1992 LP "Amused To Death," NME reports.

Commenting on the content of the upcoming record, Waters added: "...the record is really about love -- which is what all of my records have been about, in fact. It's pondering not just why we are killing the children. It's also the question of how do we take these moments of love -- if we are granted any in our lives -- and allow that love to shine on the rest of existence, on others."

The news comes as Radiohead have made their "In Rainbows" bonus disc available online via streaming services.
