LAHAD DATU: Former Sabah Rural Development Assistant Minister Datuk Mohd Yusof Amat Jamlee, 76, died of a stroke this afternoon.
Mohd Yusof, who was also former Lahad Datu assemblyman, died at his eldest daughter Saloma’s residence at Taman Aman Jaya here at 1.40pm.
Saloma said her father has been ill for a while and was being treated at private facility in Kota Kinabalu for two months, before he was transferred back to Lahad Datu 10 months ago.
His remains will be buried at the Muslim cemetery at Kampung Bikang here at 10am tomorrow.
He left behind four widows and eighteen children.
