Ex-Zelenskyy aide Smirnov suspected of illegal enrichment

Former deputy head of the Presidential Office Andriy Smirnov has been served with a notice of suspicion of illegal enrichment, NV's siter publtication Ukrayinska Pravda reported on May 22, citing law enforcement sources.

Details surrounding the allegations remain sparse as the sources provided no further information.

Presidential Office's website published decrees dismissing two of Yermak's deputies, Andriy Smirnov and Oleksiy Dniprov on March 29. Iryna Mudra and Olena Kovalska were appointed instead.

Smirnov was appointed as the deputy head of the Presidential Office on September 10, 2019, under then-head Andriy Bohdan. During his tenure, Smirnov was responsible for overseeing legal policy, law enforcement, and the judicial systems
