This Is Exactly What Ayesha Curry Eats in a Day

From Harper's BAZAAR

Ayesha Curry is a restaurateur, Food Network personality, and New York Times best-selling cookbook author. So it's safe to say that she knows a thing or two about delicious food.

In this episode of Food Diaries, Curry walks us through a typical day of eats and shares her favorite recipes—from Bulletproof coffee to Jamaican oxtail with rice and plantains, plus her go-to cocktails.

Read on for a partial breakdown of her favorite daily meals and make sure to check out her latest cookbook, The Full Plate, which drops today.

The first thing that Curry goes for in the morning is a piping hot cup of coffee. "If I'm intermittent fasting, I'll do it with a little bit of coconut oil, grass-fed butter, and some MCT oil, which is for your brain fuel so that you can function. I'll steep some super, superstrong coffee and blend it all together." On normal days, Curry adds that she takes her coffee with some "classic French vanilla Coffee mate" creamer.

Meal-wise, the foodie loves her smoked salmon scramble (including dill, pepper, shallots, and corn), a recipe that actually appears in her first cookbook, The Seasoned Life. If she's not having that, she opts for a hearty shellfish breakfast with fried dumplings. She details the process: "It's just this salted cod that you soak overnight and you fry it up with onions and peppers, put in the canned ackee. Make some little fried dumplings that's just flour, water, and a bit of salt fried in oil. A side of plantains, fried on the side. You're eating really good."
