SINGAPORE — Expect thundery showers and warm conditions on non-rainy days for the remainder of the month of May, the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) said in a media release on Thursday (16 May).

MSS said that, in the second fortnight of May, the public should expect short-duration thundery showers, mostly between the late morning and early afternoon, on six to eight days.

On two to three days next week, there is forecast of widespread thundery showers with gusty winds between the pre-dawn and morning.

Overall, the rainfall for May is likely to be above the normal level for many parts of Singapore.

The warm and humid conditions experience during the first half of the month are forecast to continue. Daily temperature is expected to be between 26°C and 34°C. On days with little or no rainfall, the maximum temperature could reach around 35°C.
