Explosive detonates in Chernihiv Oblast forest: one man killed, one injured

Two men tripped an explosive device in a forest belt in the Kyinska territorial community in Chernihiv district on the afternoon of Oct. 15, the head of the Chernihiv Oblast Military Administration Vyacheslav Chaus reported on Telegram.
The tragedy was initially reported at 2:57 p.m.

Police said that two civilian men went to the forest outside the village of Kyinka to collect firewood. One of the men reportedly died and the other was injured.
The police also published photos from the scene.


In August, a car tripped a mine in Chernihiv Oblast. The explosion killed the driver and a passenger, and two children were injured and hospitalized.
