Fall Out Boy return, new single out now, album coming

American punk/pop band Fall Out Boy are back after an extended hiatus, releasing a new single with an album to follow.

After a hiatus which began in February 2010, Fall Out Boy have announced their comeback, releasing new single "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)" out now on iTunes.

Later this year the band will release a new album "Save Rock and Roll", their first since 2008's "Folie Á Deux", globally on March 6-7. The release of the group's LP will coincide with the tenth anniversary of their debut album "Take This to Your Grave."

In a statement posted on the band's website (http://www.falloutboyrock.com/), members Pete, Patrick, Andy and Joe wrote "when we were kids the only thing that got us through most days was music. its why we started fall out boy in the first place. this isn't a reunion because we never broke up. we needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us. The future of fall out boy starts now. Save rock and roll..."
