Fans criticise Jay Chou's new image

4 Dec – Jay Chou has again become the subject of criticism, this time for his revamped image for latest album "12 New Works".

As reported on Asianpopnews website, the Taiwanese singer-composer released photos of his album cover for his 12th album, barely clad and showing off his 8-pack abs as well as donning a golden hairstyle. Many fans criticised his latest image for resembling a K-Pop idol.

It was reported that netizens accused Jay of copying 2PM member, Jang Woo Young's hairstyle in his album cover, while others expressed that his new image was identical to Kenji Wu's album cover in 2010, "Love Me Hate Me". Fans that were disappointed with his latest concept stated that the singer is talented enough and has no reason to use his body to sell his albums.

Meanwhile, Jay's recording company, JVR Music has declined to respond to the criticisms on the singer's latest look.

"12 New Works" is scheduled for release on 28 December 2012.
