Faster immigration clearance for eligible travellers from China

Faster immigration clearance for eligible travellers from China

Starting 16 November 2015, eligible travellers from the People’s Republic of China (PRC) will be allowed to clear Singapore immigration more quickly.

The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) will extend the enhanced immigration automated clearance system (eIACS) service to eligible PRC passport holders so that they can use the automated gates for immigration clearance.

Holders of PRC passports aged six and above who are holding a valid five-year (or longer) Multiple Journey Visa issued by Singapore and have visited Singapore at least three times in the preceding 12 months are eligible to enroll for the automated service.

Enrollment is on a voluntary basis and is free.

ICA says the move provides greater travel convenience for PRC visitors and facilitate trade, business and tourism links between Singapore and China.
