Father seeks public help to find missing daughter

KUALA LUMPUR: A father is seeking public help to find his 15-year-old daughter who went missing from their home in Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, Cheras, near here early today.

Mohammad Fauzi Abdul Wahab, 49, said the disappearance of his teenage daughter, Farah Amani, was discovered by his wife when she wanted to wake the girl up for school at 5.30 am.

He said the last time he talked to his daughter was at 11 pm yesterday.

”I wake up at 4.30 am but I didn’t check on her, so I didn’t know whether or not she was in her room at that time,” he told Bernama when contacted.

He said he and his wife had repeatedly tried to call their daughter on her mobile phone, but none were answered.

Mohammad Fauzi said Farah Amani, who is the second and youngest child and a student at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bandar Tun Hussien Onn, rarely had any problem at home or school.

The man said he lodged a missing person report at Bandar Tun Hussein Onn police station early today.

He also called on the public with information on his daughter’s whereabouts to immediately contact the him or his wife at 013-2083747 or 019-6688705.

Meanwhile, Kajang Police District chief ACP Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yusof, when contacted, confirmed receiving the report, saying that investigations were underway. -- BERNAMA © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd
