Filipino-American singer H.E.R has finally dropped her much-anticipated debut studio album Back Of My Mind on Friday (June 18).

The 21-track album featured collaborations with major hiphop and R&B musicians including Chris Brown, Thundercat, and DJ Khaled.

In a statement, the 23-year old Grammy and Academy award winner said that the album was filled with her personal thoughts and feelings.

“This collection of songs come from feelings and thoughts that I’ve had in the back of my mind,” she said.

H.E.R added that she finds being her true self liberating.

“Some things I talk about in my music and other things I may have been afraid to say or admit. I’m finding freedom in being truthful with expression.”

The Fil-Am artist is currently on a roll.

H.E.R. kicked off her year by bagging two Grammy Awards, Song of the Year for “I Can’t Breathe” and Best R&B Song for her contribution to Robert Glasper’s “Better Than I Imagined.” She also took home an Academy Award for her powerful song “Fight For You” from the Warner Bros. Pictures’ film "Judas and the Black Messiah".

The Fil-Am artist also landed on the cover of Variety and starred in her own special episode of Amazon’s Prime Day Show, featuring music from her new album.
