Indonesia-based organisation BOOM Esports announced on Friday (17 September) that they have signed Filipino star support player Timothy "Tims" Randrup as part of a continuing revamp of its Dota 2 roster.

Tims gained renown as one of the best position 4 support players in the world as a member of TNC Predator for the past four years. While playing under the banner of TNC, he has won a Major championship in the MDL Chengdu Major in November 2019 as well as finished in the Top 12 at The International (TI) in 2017 and 2019.

Tims was released to free agency alongside his now-former TNC teammates on 15 September as the organisation disbanded their entire roster after failing to qualify for TI10.

Tims will be joining two fellow Filipino players in Erin Jasper "Yopaj" Ferrer and Andrei "skem" Ong as well as Indonesian offlaner Saieful "Fbz" Ilham in BOOM.

In the first moves of a major roster shuffle in the Southeast Asian Dota 2 scene that started late last month, BOOM parted ways with a majority of its previous all-Indonesian lineup in order to make way for the eventual signings of Yopaj, skem, and Tims.

Carry player Randy "Dreamocel" Sapoetra and position 4 support player Brizio "Hyde" Putra were released by BOOM while position 5 support Alfi "Khezcute" Nelphyana retired from competitive play on 27 August.

Midlaner Rafli Fathur "Mikoto" Rahman was then rendered inactive and put on the transfer list as Yopaj and skem joined the organisation early this month.

Only the carry role remains vacant for BOOM, though they are expected to reveal its full roster in the days to come.
