We Finally Know How Meghan Markle Snuck Into Pippa Middleton’s Wedding Reception

If you’ve ever wondered how Meghan Markle snuck into Pippa Middleton’s wedding reception without raising any red flags, you’ve come to the right place.

In the new tell-all bookFinding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand discussed Middleton’s May 2017 nuptials and shared never-before-heard details about Prince Harry’s pitstop between the ceremony and the reception.

Although many assumed that he drove all the way to Kensington Palace to pick up Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex arranged a “clever work around,” which included a nearby Airbnb in Berkshire.

“While all the other guests were at the ceremony, Meghan changed into a decidedly unflashy long black gown and did her own makeup,” the book reads.

Since the reception took place at Middleton’s home in Bucklebury, Prince Harry and Markle snuck in undetected while the guests were enjoying a fighter plane airshow. (Casual.)

No couples sat together during the reception (per Middleton’s request). So, Markle shared a table with Roger Federer’s wife, Mirka, before reuniting with Prince Harry later that night.

The news answers a whole lot of questions, since no one knew how Markle ended up at the reception. It all started when Prince Harry was spotted at the ceremony at St. Mark’s Church. Although he was seen leaving, no one witnessed his return with Markle in tow. However, spectators did see the couple departing the reception, prompting questions about when Markle had arrived.

Case closed.
