PUTRAJAYA: The government has approved a total of 6.32 million applications for 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M) 2017 with allocations amounting to RM5.41 billion.
It comprises RM1,200 financial assistance to 3,242,048 households with a monthly income of RM3,000 and below; RM900 for 291,918 households earning between RM3,001 and RM4,000 per month; and RM450 to 2,786,803 individuals who earn RM2,000 and below every month.
“For those whose applications are rejected, notifications will be sent via letters and emails to explain why they do not get the aid and the appeal processes involved,” said the Finance Ministry in a statement today.
Those who intend to appeal can do so at any Inland Revenue Board branches nationwide, including the Revenue Service Centres (RSC) and the Urban Transformation Centres (UTC) until May 31 by filling up the appeal form, it added.
The ministry said appeal forms should have supporting documents including one’s payslip, bank statement and a copy of the identification card of applicants’ spouses and dependents.
For those who want to update their details such as their latest address can do so at any IRB branches, RSCs and UTCs within the appeal period.
