Fire at underground carpark in Punggol

A fire involving two vehicles took place at an underground carpark in Punggol on Saturday (26 November) morning.

According to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), they received a call regarding the incident at 8.54am with their first responders arriving at the scene at 9am. Three fire engines and four support vehicles were deployed and the fire was brought under control within 10 minutes, the SCDF said.

The fire involved two vehicles adjacent to one another, which were parked in an underground carpark in the Punggol Waterway Terraces estate. No injuries have been reported.

Yahoo Singapore understands that multiple explosions were heard during the time of the fire and smoke was seen emerging from the carpark.
