Firemen have put under control a huge fire that broke out on at the Jurong Industrial Estate Tuesday morning.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that a fire had been raging at six warehouses along Link Road from around 10:45am until it was placed under control after a two-hour battle.
No casualties have been reported so far.
SCDF personnel were mobilised to put out the fire at four warehouses along Link Road and another two smaller ones behind the four. Also, thirteen water jets were deployed.
Damping down operations were ongoing.
A SCDF officer said in the afternoon that putting the fire out entirely might take hours or even overnight.
