PORT DICKSON: The Negri Sembilan Fire and Rescue Department has prepared its personnel and equipment to face the possibility of flood on polling day for the Port Dickson by-election tomorrow.
Its director Norazam Khamis said an operations room had been activated since last week in Port Dickson Fire and Rescue Department as an early preparation.
“About 150 personnel are ready to be deployed if flood occurs. We also follow the updates by the Meteorology Department since the weather is unpredictable,” he said when contacted today.
Norazam said if the heavy rain continues, Linggi, Teluk kemang and Lukut would be at risk of being flooded.
He advised voters to come out early to vote.
