There seems to be a subscription service for almost every need and want imaginable — from food to jewelry, it’s all covered. On the book front, however, very few services can rival the comprehensiveness, reputation and reliability of Kindle Unlimited. And now, new subscribers can get their first two months for just $5.

At the beginning of October 2020, Amazon announced that Amazon Prime members could get six months of Kindle Unlimited for just $30. The promotion was later extended to all new subscribers and is now replaced by a shorter (but sweeter) deal.

For a limited time, all new Kindle Unlimited subscribers have the option of getting their first two months of service for $4.99, with their contracts automatically renewing for $9.99 per month once the time frame ends. As with any Kindle Unlimited subscription, it can be canceled at any time.

To access the deal, simply visit the Kindle Unlimited signup page here. Select the two-month deal, click “Join Kindle Unlimited” and follow the sign-up instructions.

This deal gives new Kindle Unlimited subscribers access to millions of titles that are drastically cheaper than their corresponding print editions. For instance, the recently released Kindle version of Mariah Carey’s memoir, “The Meaning of Mariah Carey,” retails for only $14.99 with Kindle, which is 50 percent less than its listed print price.

Users of Kindle Unlimited often pair the service with an Amazon Kindle device, like the one pictured above. However, the service works with any e-reader-enabled device, including an iPad, a smartphone or even a laptop or desktop computer.

Through this method, users can access millions of titles on one thin, portable device and, in turn, save the planet. After all, you’ll be cutting down on paper, not cutting down trees.

This deal is only available for a limited time, so snag it before the price changes!
