Where there are family vacations and holidays, there’s also loads of love, scrumptious food and emotional eating. Which is why it is no wonder that come January and everyone’s new year’s resolution list has ‘losing weight’ on a high priority.

So while you look out for your general health and well-being, here are a few tips in which you can shed those extra kilos without any crazy diets and detoxes.

Meditate to levitate

Meditation on a daily basis can help you get on track, stay focused, and contribute to an overall improvement in your health and well-being. Include an hour of yoga and pilates to give your body a rigorous workout and remain light on the feet.

Back to the gym

When the holiday comes to an end, a little extra time at the gym can ensure that you torch all that holiday fat and get back in shape and on route to fitness again. A combination of cardio exercises with resistance training should burn the fat faster than you can imagine.

Run, go for power walks, and stretch

Sugary cookies, cakes, pies, laddoos, deep-dish pizza, or whatever is your dish-of-weakness, it may be best to avoid it and replace the same with options like citrus fruits, sprouts, salads, nuts, seeds, superfoods, and more healthy alternatives.

Keep moving

Be it cooking, cleaning, or washing, start from scratch. For instance, run errands. Stock up on groceries at home by taking a walk to the store and carrying the bags yourself. These chores will melt body fat in no time and keep you fit for a climb up the mountain! Also, choose from aerobics, zumba, kickboxing, or sports like badminton, squash, etc. to get fit.
