Former UP CM Kalyan Singh's Son Rajveer Expresses Gratitude To CM Yogi For Standing By Their Family As An Elder Son

Former Uttar Pradesh (UP) Chief Minister (CM) Kalyan Singh’s son Rajveer Singh expressed gratitude to the state chief minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath for standing by his family as an ‘elder son’, ABP Live reports.

Rajveer Singh explained that CM Yogi did not attend his own father’s funeral earlier in order to fulfill his commitments towards the state amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, the incumbent UP CM stood by the late veteran Kalyan Singh’s family and was present and even lent his help in all the rituals till his cremation.

Speaking on behalf of his folks, Rajveer Singh mentioned that CM Yogi acted as an elder son of his family during this difficult period as the party veteran passed away on 21st August.

Kalyan Singh was dealing with ailing health and was paid multiple visits by senior BJP leaders including the likes of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, CM Yogi Adityanath amongst several others.

Singh had served as the CM of UP in two separate terms. He even held the position during the demolition of the erstwhile Babri Masjid at the peak of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement in Ayodhya.

He served as the Governor of Rajasthan from 2014-19 in arguably his last major political assignment.
