Former Wales star Gavin Henson looks set to end his career back in his homeland after signing a two-year contract with Newport Gwent Dragons on Tuesday.
The 35-year-old -- capped 33 times and a member of two Six Nations Grand Slam-winning sides -- will join Newport next season from English Premiership strugglers Bristol.
"I have really enjoyed my time at Bristol, but when the opportunity came along to join the Dragons and return to Wales, I couldn't say no," Henson told the Dragons' website.
"I still have loads to offer, and I know what Kingsley (Jones, the Dragons head coach) wants from me.
"I am especially looking forward to pitting myself against the current Welsh players, and hopefully becoming a catalyst and mentor for the tremendous talent that is in the Dragons squad."
Jones, who had already strengthened Newport with the signing of South African Zane Kirchner from Irish province Leinster, said it was great Henson had seen the potential in the team.
"This is a hugely important signing, and exactly what we need to complement our existing squad," said Jones.
