Former Hollyoaks star Parry Glasspool has re-sparked that Jarry vs Starry debate all over again today as he shared a new picture of himself with one-time co-star and former on-screen boyfriend Kieron Richardson.

Parry played the role of Harry Thompson in the Channel 4 soap, and during his stint on the show he was known for his relationships with both Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) and James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan).

It was a love triangle that divided viewers until the end, as while Harry was in a (mostly) happy relationship with James before his untimely death at the hands of Breda McQueen, he did still manage to squeeze in one last kiss with his ex Ste in his final episode too.

And now Harry and Ste have reunited once again – albeit, in real life this time.

"They say to never meet up with an ex....but for the sake of good theatre it had to be done!" Parry captioned the new photo on Instagram.

"Well in @mrkieronrichardson ! Go and catch Kay Mellor's Band of Gold! ....couldve done without the 30 min wait for parking though."

Kieron is currently performing in the stage version of Kay Mellor's classic crime drama Band of Gold, and Parry showed his support by watching a performance of the show.

"We were reunited last night....thanks to @pazzyg1992 and paige for coming to see us last night," Kieron Richardson added on his own Instagram post.

Meanwhile, after Ste recently took a break from the village following the end of his far-right radicalisation storyline, James is still struggling with Harry's death – and the guilt of shooting Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) for the crime when he believed her to be responsible.

With James determined to hand himself into the police, his co-conspirator Grace Black has been trying to talk him out of coming clean. But now that the shooting secret has inadvertently claimed another victim in Jesse Donovan, James is feeling guiltier than ever.

"James knows that he had a role to play in what happened to Jesse. He now has to deal with the guilt of shooting Mercedes, and the guilt of being partly responsible for Jesse's death," Gregory Finnegan recently told Digital Spy.

"James puts those two things directly next to each other. It's pretty crushing for him. That will go on for a little while. It does come to a natural head, but certainly over the next couple of months, James goes through some difficult times."

Hollyoaks airs weekdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes on E4 at 7pm.
