Former OnlyFans model, reality TV star films getting her fillers dissolved weeks after getting implants removed: 'I just want to start fresh'

The former reality star and model Blac Chyna documented getting her facial fillers dissolved on Instagram, just one week after removing her breast and butt implants.

Chyna, 34, said in the video that the decision came from feeling “tired” of her look.

“It’s just not flattering, it’s not what I look like,” she said. It totally changed my face, and I’m just ready to get back to Angela.” Angela White is Chyna’s legal name.

“I feel like I’ve outgrown that, and it’s just time for a change,” she continued. “I just want to be good.”

Chyna went to Allure Laser and Wellness Spa in Los Angeles to be injected with chemicals that would dissolve the fillers she’s put in over the years. The practitioner said that it would take around a day before Chyna would see a difference.

“I’m on my journey right now, and I just want to start fresh, clean,” Chyna said. “And shout-out to the girls who wanna get fillers, we’re not saying, ‘Don’t do it.’ But just for me, I’m just kinda over the whole face.”

The timing aligns with a recent interview actress Courteney Cox gave about her experience with fillers. In the March 7 episode of the podcast Gloss Angeles, Cox named fillers as her biggest beauty regret. She got them dissolved in 2017.

Even Chyna’s almost-ex-sister-in-law Khloé Kardashian has been open about dissolving her facial fillers in 2016. Chyna shares a 6-year-old daughter, Dream, with Kardashian’s brother, Rob, to whom she was engaged on and off between 2016 and 2020.

In an episode of Kocktails With Khloé, Kardashian said she “looked crazy” and went to get the fillers dissolved three times.

“My face was so f***ed, it was a bummer,” she said at the time. “I’m almost afraid to do it again — I swear, I think things are still in my face.”

By the early 2000s, facial fillers were a normalized part of the beauty world. The recent trends of influencers and celebrities getting their fillers dissolved have to do with a variety of factors, including the way beauty trends have evolved and thanks to more research being done in the industry. Doctors have realized that fillers last a lot longer than they had initially thought — and since patients are asked to come in for re-ups every few months, this can result in too much filler being injected into a person’s face.

But there’s also the issue of “yo-yo plastic surgery,” which describes how easily accessible antidotes to nonsurgical procedures like fillers may unintentionally encourage people to go overboard or behave too casually about plastic surgery.

“While interminable to-ing and fro-ing may not constitute a full-blown hyaluronidase craze, it’s clear that what was once an emergency measure used to treat injections gone medically wrong has taken on new meaning as a mode of self-correction for overzealous users,” Dazed Digital reported in 2020. “But does the existence of an ‘undo’ button make us all the more fickle when it comes to sizing up (and down)?”

In Chyna’s case, it may be more than an aesthetic change. In May 2022, Chyna shared on Instagram that she was baptized on her birthday. Earlier this year, the model also announced she was quitting the adult content subscription site OnlyFans, after allegedly making $240 million from her photos in 2021.

“I don’t do OnlyFans anymore — I don’t do it anymore at all,” she said during her appearance on the Jason Lee Show. “I’m just changing everything about me.”
