Four detained over Johor real estate scandal released on bail

JOHOR BARU: Four men who were remanded over a real estate corruption scandal in Johor were released on Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC)'s bail today.

The four were brought before Johor Baru magistrate court registrar Saba'aton Daud at 9.30am this morning who later issued the release order.

They were among seven people, aged between 25 and 50, detained by MACC since Feb 24 to facilitate investigation into the alleged Johor land scam involving RM15.5 million in 45 bank accounts which were later frozen.

The MACC has seized 21 luxury cars, five high-powered motorcycles and RM500,000 in local and foreign currencies.
