KANGAR: Four houses in Kampung Seberang Tok Pi, Kuala Perlis were razed in a fire last night.
State Fire and Rescue Department (Operation) assistant director Muhamad Firdaus Yusop said the station received a distress call at 9.21pm.
"We deployed five fire engines with 25 personnel to the scene. Twenty-eight volunteer firefighters also assisted our team in the operation,"
He said initially, the teams were faced with difficulty of entering the village as the road was too narrow.
He added that the low water pressure also hampered their effort to control the blaze.
"However, they managed to put out the fire around 10.40pm." he said.
Muhamad Firdaus said no casualties were reported and the department has yet to determine the cause and losses in the incident.
