Four men aged between 30 and 60 have been arrested for allegedly using fake concert passes to access a concert.

On Sunday (12 November), the Singapore Police Force received a report saying that someone was selling fake passes for a concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Yahoo News Singapore understands that the passes were for a concert by popular British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, who was playing two sold-out shows over the weekend.

Police investigations showed that the men used fake passes to pass off as authorised personnel at the concert, so as to escort unsuspecting concert goers into the venue. The men were also said to have charged the attendees entry fees of between $150 and $300.

Three of the four men were charged in court on Tuesday for cheating. Investigations are ongoing against the 60-year-old man. The maximum penalty for cheating is a jail term of three years, or with fine, or with both.
