Four Sabah cops plead not guilty to bribery charges


KOTA KINABALU: Four policemen pleaded not guilty to eight counts of soliciting and accepting bribes at the Corruption Court here today.

Three of them including a woman were attached with the Narcotics Department in Penampang district police station, while another at the state Commercial Crime Investigation Department.

The eight charges read out involved transaction amounting to RM43,500.

Judge Abu Bakar Manat has allowed bail for all four but asked them to surrender their passports.

The pre-trial case management has been set for April 26 for all four accused.
