Free vaccines for all adults from June 21 says Indian PM

"Central government will make vaccines available for all Indian citizens, free of cost," says Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a televised address to the nation. He says that the free vaccines will be made available from June 21 for everyone above 18-years-old in India. The country has administered just under 233 million vaccine shots so far, but experts say the programme needs to be significantly stepped up to better combat the virus spread.
