From cash awards to free travel to car, it's raining prizes for India's golden boy Neeraj Chopra

Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra became the talk of the town as he claimed the nation's long awaited gold for athletics on Saturday.

Soon after, several prominent personalities, state governments started announcing some big rewards for India's 'golden boy.'

According to News18, Chopra’s endorsement fees, according to an estimation, was in the range of Rs 20-30 lakh per year and Ghouse sees a 1000 per cent increase, with all endorsement deals are currently being negotiated upwards of Rs 2.5 crore per year.

Chopra is a brand ambassador of Gillette, ExxonMobil, Muscle Blaze.

  • Industrialist Anand Mahindra has announced a gift of SUV XUV 700 for Neeraj Chopra.

  • Indigo airlines has announced unlimited free travel for Neeraj Chopra for one year.

  • India's EdTech company BYJUs has announced a cash prize of Rs 2 crore for Neeraj.
