Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez both return and could start in Real Madrid's Copa del Rey clash away to Unionistas de Salamanca on Wednesday.

The Welsh winger missed the recent Spanish Supercopa in Saudi Arabia through illness and the Colombian midfielder has been out with a knee injury.

Both were left out of the squad for Saturday's 2-1 win at home to Sevilla in LaLiga and coach Zinedine Zidane said the pair were suffering from niggling problems.

But the two are included in the squad for Wednesday's Copa del Rey last-32 tie away to Segunda B opponents.

Sergio Ramos is still out with an ankle problem picked up in the Supercopa Final against Atletico, while Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Rodrygo are rested.

Right-back Alvaro Odriozola missed training on Tuesday and is closing in on a loan move to Bayern Munich.

The Copa del Rey's new format means ties are played in a one-off match this year and not over two legs like in previous editions.
