Gaza City buildings destroyed in Israeli air raids

Thousands of displaced Gazans have now started going back to their homes and Israelis returned to normal life after a ceasefire appeared to take hold. Buildings across Gaza City were razed to the ground during the 11-day conflict between Israel and Palestinian militant groups in the blockaded enclave. In total, Israeli air strikes killed 243 people including 66 children, the health ministry said. Hamas rockets claimed 12 lives in Israel, including one child, a teenager and an Israeli soldier, with one Indian and two Thais among those killed, according to Israeli medics.
