GE2020: E-rallies to be live-streamed from Suntec, 3 time slots per day
SINGAPORE — E-rallies for the General Election will be live-streamed from Suntec Singapore Convention Centre from Wednesday (1 July) to 8 July.
The Elections Department (ELD) said in a media release on Tuesday that the time slots for the live-streaming are: 7am to 10am, 12pm to 3pm and 7pm to 10pm.
There will be up to 10 venues per day at the convention centre for GE candidates to apply and use. In the event where the number of applications exceed the number of available time slots, a ballot will be conducted to determine successful applications.
The e-rally venues will be equipped with internet connectivity. Candidates are expected to make their own arrangements for filming and live-streaming, and ensure that the internet platforms for their e-rallies meet the relevant requirements.
The e-rallies will not be broadcast or telecast live on free-to-air television and radio.
