GE2015: SDP reveals Bryan Lim, Damanhuri in fourth batch of candidates

The Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) announced its fourth batch of candidates on Friday afternoon.

They are Damanhuri Abas, 45, an ex-director of Muhammadiyah Islamic College and hospital manager Bryan Lim, 38.

SDP chairman Jeffrey George, who announced the candidates, did not specify where the men would be competing.

The latter had previously contested in the 2001 elections. He was part of a five-member SDP team that contested in Hong Kah GRC against the PAP. The SDP team won 20.3 per cent of the votes.

Lim will be pushing for population, housing and education issues.

Damanhuri, a father of five, wants to address issues in the Malay Muslim community, such as "discrimination".
